We are hiring – Holiday Warehouse Technician

The warehouse technician supports the staff of the holiday division by responding to staff requests for pulling product from the shelves, returning product to the shelved and assisting the group with other work.  Assistance is also needed in boxing and storing decorated pieces for our clients such as wreaths, trees, garlands, sconces and other coordinating pieces.  This job also sweeps the warehouse or dock area and helps maintain the cleanliness and order of the warehouse.  The warehouse technician is expected to comply with all company safety policies.  This is a day-time, seasonal position working from early November -December.  Some weekend work may be requested.

Essential Functions

  • Pull and return customer décor to and from storage for the holiday installers
  • Dis-assemble/Re-assemble trees or other products
  • Make sure all items are labeled and facing outward
  • Maintain work area in clean, orderly, safe fashion – sweep as needed and keep aisles clear
  • Communicate issues to design staff or Director of Operations
  • If requested, travel to customer locations to install or remove holiday décor
  • Assist the Fabrication Techs and Installation techs in the following:
    • Loading/unloading trucks when necessary
    • Receiving and processing of deliveries
    • Maintenance and handyman work
    • Other duties as assigned

Work Hours

This position is part-time seasonal.  Scheduled hours vary from 20-40 hours per week and may increase during peak installation/takedown periods.  Schedule may be modified based upon business requirements.  Extra hours will be required during peak times and in order to meet customer requirements.  Exposure to cold and heat may occur both in the warehouse as well as during loading/unloading materials.
